DreamHack Smash Championship 2016
Today we are very excited to announce the 2016 plans for the DreamHack Smash Championship. The DreamHack Smash Championship tournament series will feature Super Smash Bros. Melee tournaments at DreamHack Austin in May, DreamHack Summer in June and DreamHack Winter 2016 in November. With a total prize pool of $50,000 we are positive that the competition will be fantastic for the audience at location and home watching the live stream.
Super Smash Bros. Melee have been one of the most asked for games at DreamHack events for many years and during 2015 we kicked of with successful tournaments at Dreamhack London and DreamHack Winter 2015, today we are very excited to announce that Super Smash Bros. Melee is back at DreamHack for three events during 2016
The DreamHack Smash Championship in Super Smash Bros. Melee will kick off in North America during DreamHack Austin in the Austin Convention Center arena 6-8th May 2016 where we will have an open singles tournament with a $10,000 prize pool. We’ll continue at DreamHack Summer 2016 18-21th June with another $10,000 singles tournament and end of the year with a boom at DreamHack Winter 2016 where the singles tournament will feature a $30,000 prize pool.

TICKETS & REGISTRATION
All ticket holders to the DreamHack Austin event is eligible to participate in the tournament. Player registration for the DreamHack Smash Championship at DreamHack Austin will open early March 2016 & registration for DreamHack Summer 2016 will follow shortly after, stay tuned!
